Choosing a premium card
For weight
Black at 40 pt is the thickest card. Cotton is 32 pt, and black and kraft come in 28 pt.
For shine
Foil and spot UV catch the light. Black card takes ten foil colours, including rose gold and copper.
For texture
Cotton and kraft are uncoated and feel like paper. Letterpress presses the design into the card.
For a dark card in full colour
Black card takes letterpress or foil only. For full colour on a dark design, choose a laminated card with a rich black background.

What is the thickest business card you print?
Black card at 40 pt. Cotton is 32 pt, black and kraft come in 28 pt, and everyday cards are 16 pt.
Can I print full colour on black business cards?
No. Black cards are printed with letterpress or foil. For a full-colour card with a dark look, choose a laminated card and use a rich black background of C60 M40 Y40 K100.
Can I get painted edges?
Yes, on black cards. The edges are painted gold or silver.
How long do premium cards take?
Spot UV takes about 5 to 7 business days and soft-touch 3 to 4. Black, cotton, kraft, foil, embossed and raised ink cards take about 7 to 14. The time starts once you approve the proof and the order is paid.
What is the minimum order?
Most premium cards start at 100. Spot UV starts at 200.
What files do premium finishes need?
Your card design, plus a mask file for the foil, spot UV, embossing or raised ink. The mask marks the finish in 100% black on white and has to be vector art.
