Why film suits candles
Wax and fragrance oil mark paper labels over time. BOPP film resists oil, so the print stays clean on the shelf.
Matte BOPP
A soft, low-glare finish that suits frosted glass, amber jars and most candle brands.
Gloss BOPP
A shiny finish that makes colours look their brightest, for bold designs.
Paper
Semi-gloss paper costs less and works for a bottom label that stays out of the way.
Placement
Keep labels on the side and bottom of the container, away from the flame and the hottest part of the glass.

Questions
What's the best material for candle labels?
Matte or gloss BOPP. Wax and fragrance oil mark paper labels over time, and film resists oil, so the print stays clean. Matte gives the soft look most candle brands use.
Where should the label go on a candle jar?
On the side and the bottom of the container, away from the flame and the hottest part of the glass. A round label on the lid is handy for showing the scent.
Do candles need a warning label in Canada?
Canada's Candles Regulations have one rule: a candle must not reignite on its own after it is put out. They don't require a warning label. Many makers add burning instructions anyway, and general packaging rules can apply to candles sold in a package, so check what applies to yours.
Can you print my safety and burning instructions?
Yes. We print whatever is on your file, so a bottom label with burning instructions and safety text works well. What the label says is up to you.
What is the minimum order?
250 labels per design, with setup included. Each scent or size counts as its own design.
How long does it take?
Production starts the next business day after you approve your proof. Your order then ships tracked anywhere in Canada.
