Pick the material for where the label lives

Need waterproof labels? Five of the seven stocks are white BOPP film, which is waterproof and resists oil, so they suit anything that gets wet, chilled or handled. The two paper stocks suit dry goods.

  • Gloss BOPP

White waterproof film with a gloss laminate. It resists water and oil, and colours print at their brightest.

Best for supplements, sauces, drinks, cosmetics

  • Matte BOPP

The same waterproof film with a matte laminate. It cuts glare so small text and barcodes stay easy to read, and it holds up in the fridge and to heavy handling.

Best for supplements, food jars, skincare, candles

  • Paper

Semi-gloss paper with a classic look, and a budget-friendly choice. Use it for products that stay dry and indoors.

Best for coffee bags, bakery boxes, dry goods, gift packaging

  • Laminated paper

Semi-gloss paper under a gloss or matte laminate, which protects the print from splashes and scratches.

Best for soap, gift jars, retail boxes

  • Writable

Waterproof film with a matte laminate that you write on with a permanent marker. Ballpoint and gel pens smudge on the laminate.

Best for dates and batch numbers, fridge containers, inventory

  • Removable

Waterproof film with a low-tack adhesive. It holds firmly and peels off in one piece without leaving residue.

Best for reusable containers, glassware, retail price labels

Cut to any shape and size

Rectangles, rounded corners, circles and ovals cover most products, and we can cut a custom outline that follows your artwork.

Print uses CMYK inks, so very bright screen colours can shift a little on paper and film. Set your artwork up in CMYK for the closest match, and keep text and logos a few millimetres inside the cut line.

Every order comes on a roll

Labels arrive wound on a 3-inch core, ready for a label applicator. For short runs, they peel off the liner easily by hand.

  • Applicator ready

The 3-inch core is machine ready, so the roll can go straight onto a label applicator.

  • Sticker rolls

Some people search for sticker rolls. It's the same product: printed labels on a liner, wound on a core and ready to peel.

  • Strong adhesive

Standard labels use a strong adhesive. Removable labels use a low-tack one that peels off cleanly, and freezer labels use one made for deep cold.

Labels for what you make

The right stock depends on where the product lives: in a fridge, on a pantry shelf or by the bathroom sink.

  • Water bottles

Condensation soaks into paper labels, so use waterproof film.

    Gloss BOPP

  • Wine and beer

Bottles sit in ice buckets and fridges. Film keeps the label in one piece, and matte gives the soft finish many wine labels use.

    Matte or gloss BOPP

  • Candles

Wax and fragrance oil mark paper labels over time. Matte film resists oil and gives a soft finish.

    Matte BOPP

  • Food jars and sauces

Sauces drip and jars get wiped down. Waterproof film wipes clean and keeps the print bright.

    Gloss or matte BOPP

  • Honey and jam

Sticky fingers and the odd spill come straight off film.

    Gloss or matte BOPP

  • Spices and dry goods

Dry jars on a pantry shelf can use paper at a lower cost. Film keeps them clean by the stove.

    Matte BOPP or paper

  • Freezer containers

Freezer labels pair white film with an adhesive made for deep cold and frost. Apply them at room temperature, before the container goes in the freezer.

    Freezer-grade BOPP

  • Cosmetics and skincare

Lotions and oils get on everything in a bathroom. Oil-resistant film keeps the print clean.

    Matte or gloss BOPP

  • Supplements

Capsule bottles, tubs and droppers, with room for bilingual NHP text. See supplement labels

Questions

What is the difference between gloss and matte labels?

Both are the same waterproof, oil-resistant white film. Gloss has a shiny laminate that makes colours look brightest. Matte has a soft, low-glare laminate that keeps small text easy to read under shop lights.

Are your labels waterproof?

Gloss BOPP, matte BOPP, writable and removable labels are all waterproof film that resists oil. Laminated paper handles splashes, and plain paper is for products that stay dry.

Can I write on the labels?

Yes. Writable labels are waterproof film you mark with a permanent marker, which suits dates and batch numbers. Plain paper labels take an ordinary pen.

What shapes can you cut?

Rectangles, rounded corners, circles, ovals or a custom outline that follows your artwork. Digital die-cutting has a tolerance of up to 1 mm, so keep text a little inside the edge.

Do the labels come on a roll?

Yes. Every label order is wound on a 3-inch core, which suits a label applicator. Short runs peel off the liner easily by hand.

Can you print white ink, clear labels or metallic foil?

Roll labels print in full colour CMYK on white film or paper, and any area you leave unprinted shows the white material. Clear, metallic and foil roll labels aren't part of the range. For a see-through look, our clear vinyl die-cut stickers are an option.

How long does printing take?

Production starts the next business day after you approve your proof. Delivery time then depends on where you are in Canada, and every order ships with tracking.
